Board of Directors
360 Environmental established a Board of Directors in 2004, initially comprising of Executive Directors. The Board underwent a transition in early 2009, with the introduction of a Non-Executive Director role. Glenn Taylor and Rupen Kotecha have recently joined as Non-Executive Directors, bringing financial, consulting and strategic experience.
The Board has a strong record of achievement, meeting and exceeding corporate strategic goals. Six Board meetings are held annually and the Chairman’s role alternates annually between Managing Director’s Tamara Smith and Michelle Rhodes.
Director - Michelle Rhodes (nee
Northover)
Michelle Rhodes is Director/Principal of 360 Environmental Pty Ltd and Peak Environmental Pty Ltd. Michelle is multi-degree qualified, having completed a Bachelor of Science, Post Graduate Degree in Environmental Impact Assessment and a Masters of Environmental Management. Her Ph.D thesis in freshwater ecology is currently under examination. In 2008, Michelle graduated from the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Michelle’s area of expertise is in Project Environmental Management, and she has managed the Environmental Approvals process for a significant number of state level projects. She was the Project Environmental Manager for and/or on behalf of clients for the following projects;
- Stirling Harvey Redevelopment Scheme (Peak Environmental on behalf of Water Corporation);
- Burrup Peninsula Industrial Water Supplies Project (Peak Environmental on behalf of Water Corporation);
- Ecological risk assessment and management - Gorgon Gas Environmental Review and Management Program (Bowman Bishaw Gorham on behalf of Chevron Texaco);
- Perth Seawater Desalination Plant (360 Environmental on behalf of Water Corporation);
- Tropicana Gold Project (360 Environmental on behalf of Tropicana Joint Venture).

- Environmental Consultants Association (previously holding office bearing roles of Secretary and President).

Michelle is a Certified Environmental Practitioner under EIANZ and is a Certified Environmental Auditor under the Registrar Accreditation Board Quality Society of Australasia Limited (RABQSA). She is on the Board of the International Desalination Association's Journal on Desalination and Water Reuse.
In 2006, Michelle was awarded the Western Australian Telstra Business Women of the Year award in the Zaffyre Category. In 2008, Michelle was listed in the State’s Edition of Western Australia’s Who’s Who. In 2009, Michelle was a winner of the 40 Under 40 top business leaders for Western Australia.

Director - Tamara Smith (nee Bianchini)

Tamara Simth is qualified in both Environmental Studies and Business, holding a Bachelor of Arts in Environment and Geography and a Masters in Leadership and Management. Her Masters project focused on the requirements of corporate governance and assessment of Directors performance. In 2008, Tamara graduated from the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Tamara has been involved in the environmental field in Western Australia since 1997 and has worked in industry and state government, as well as in environmental consulting. She has been a Certified Environmental Practitioner under EIANZ since 2006.
Tamara has been involved in several areas of the environmental industry including regulatory environmental reporting, environmental impact assessment and auditing. She has been responsible for assessing and auditing more than 50 project sites, including several state level projects in the Pilbara Region. Tamara has provided advice and assessments of oil and gas facilities, land developments, mining and screening operations, port upgrades, wineries, waste water treatment plants, stockyards, chemical manufacturers, landfills and waste disposals facilities and has a thorough understanding of the issues relating to environmental assessment and application of planning and management.

Non-Executive Director - Rupen Kotecha

Rupen is a strategically and commercially minded UK qualified Chartered Accountant now based in Perth. He has extensive experience in the aviation and freight industries as well as in the field of logistics. He spent three years as CFO on the Board of British Airways Regional Cargo and has advised on restructuring, merger and disposal of businesses. Prior to this he worked as CFO for an international logistics and supply chain company. He was responsible for running their UK, Hong Kong & China business units. This included setting up JVs in Hong Kong. He has also worked as a business analyst for a management consulting company with exposure to the likes of Shell, British Gas and Ford. In addition he has had further international exposure through Herbalife Europe where his work included assisting businesses in The Netherlands and Norway. Over his career to-date Rupen has acquired invaluable knowledge and experience of the problems and opportunities facing large and small businesses in sales, operational and financial areas.
